Back in the day, I didn’t have predictable systems, so my business was unbelievably reliable on me. I was at the point that a lot of businesses get to where you experience rapid growth, you start making pretty good money and then all of a sudden the owner of the business, the person who started the business, we feel like we’re trapped inside of a machine that we made.
Honestly, I was guessing instead of following an actual process. I would waste time checking out ideas that that may or may not move the needle. My team wasn’t exactly sure what they were supposed to be working on. Sometimes things worked, sometimes things didn’t. Most of the time things worked when I was in the room but they certainly didn’t work when I was not in the room.
